The last time he set up a breather like this one, it was okay (more than okay) because the area was a) dark, b) mostly deserted, c) the conditions were relatively controllable. This time, none of these factors are present. Sending someone into a dangerous situation alone (after what his friends told him, to boot!) isn’t like him at all. :( But of course, there would be no story if there were no misunderstandings, and no character is truly real without flaws.

The other was that I began to read through Freud’s “Civilization and its Discontents” in class.
